1. Purpose
- These terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the company and members in connection with the use of THE Y, the central account and authentication service provided by 주식회사 비즈코드.
- THE Y supports unified login, sign-up, email verification, password change, and provision of basic user information for the company's internal services such as YShorts and YPartners.
2. Definitions
- Service: THE Y central account, authentication, OIDC/OAuth-based login, API client management, and security logging features.
- Member: a person who creates a THE Y account and is authenticated in order to use the company's internal services.
- Connected service: an internal service of the company that uses login functionality through THE Y's OIDC/OAuth API.
- Client: a service that accesses the THE Y API with a company-issued client_id and client_secret/API key.
3. Sign-up & age restrictions
- By signing up, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms and the privacy policy.
- Default sign-up allows Gmail addresses only. However, non-Gmail addresses may sign up if an administrator has added the exact email address to the allow list.
- Those under 14 in Korea, under 13 in the U.S. (COPPA), and under 16 in the EU (GDPR; 13–16 by member state) may not sign up without the consent of a legal representative or guardian. Submission of a guardian's written consent (consent form) may be required.
- The company may refuse or withhold acceptance of sign-up where there are security or risk concerns, false information, a blocked email, or a possibility of legal violation.
4. Account & security
- Members are responsible for managing their ID, password, and authentication means, and must notify the company immediately if leakage or unauthorized use is suspected.
- The company may require a password change, email verification, two-factor authentication, or session re-verification where necessary for policy or security.
- Passwords are stored as irreversible hashes, and session tokens and verification codes are stored as hashes rather than plaintext.
5. Provision, change, and suspension of the service
- The service is provided 24/7 in principle, but the company may change, improve, or suspend all or part of the service to provide stable authentication.
- Service use may be temporarily restricted where system maintenance, failures, security-incident response, legal compliance, or internal policy changes are necessary.
- Material changes or suspensions are announced at least 7 days in advance, and at least 30 days in advance where unfavorable to members.
6. Clients & API keys
- Clients may be issued, rotated, and revoked only with administrator privileges.
- An issued client_secret/API key is shown only once at initial issuance or rotation, and the company does not store the plaintext.
- Connected services may use only the exact registered redirect URIs; wildcard redirect URIs are not allowed.
7. Paid services & payment bridge
- THE Y centrally manages the catalog, orders, shared wallet, and checkout for YShorts and YProfile. The existing SparkReport Paddle bridge remains a separate legacy path.
- The USD reference price, billing cycle, credits, and product description follow the versioned THE Y catalog and checkout confirmation snapshot.
- Recurring products may be cancelled before the next billing date. After cancellation, access or granted usage already paid for remains available until the end of the paid period.
- For a Paddle-selected transaction, Paddle.com Market Ltd. is merchant of record and handles tax, receipts, and approved refunds under the Paddle Buyer Terms (https://www.paddle.com/legal/buyer-terms). For a Toss-selected transaction, BizCode Co., Ltd. is the seller and Toss Payments is the KRW payment gateway.
- Sensitive payment-method data is handled by the selected Paddle or Toss flow; THE Y does not directly collect or store plaintext card data.
8. Withdrawal, cancellation & refunds
- Refund eligibility is determined from the central THE Y refund policy, the purchased product's versioned snapshot, the selected provider's applicable terms, and mandatory consumer law.
- For recurring subscriptions, cancellation stops the next renewal. The current billing period already in progress is not prorated for refund unless required by mandatory law or the relevant service policy.
- For one-time credits or usage products, a refund may be reviewed where credits are unused and digital service delivery has not materially started, where a duplicate or unauthorized payment or system error is confirmed, or where the service materially differs from what was advertised or agreed.
- If a member consented to immediate access and paid features, credits, analysis reports, page entitlements, or other digital services have begun to be provided, withdrawal and refunds may be restricted for the provided or used portion to the extent permitted by law.
- If the service materially differs from the contract or advertising, the member may request correction or a refund within 3 months of supply or within 30 days of becoming aware, or being able to become aware, of the issue.
- Under THE Y's voluntary policy, unused paid credits may be requested for refund within 14 days after payment. Migrated or promotional balance and any amount used, held, or consumed for delivered service are not voluntarily cash-refundable. Issuance to the wallet alone does not end the unused-paid right, and statutory rights remain unaffected.
- Submit through THE Y Orders & Refunds or official.yshorts@gmail.com with the order ID, provider transaction ID, account email, service, and reason. An approved refund is executed to the original method through the selected Paddle or Toss flow.
- Service-specific policies: YShorts(https://yshorts.ai/plan#refund), YProfile(https://yprofile.kr/terms#refund), SparkReport(https://sparkreport.kr/refund)
9. Prohibited conduct
- Sharing or transferring accounts, bypassing authentication, leaking API keys, unauthorized automation, crawling, reverse engineering, or acts that harm service stability.
- Collecting or using another person's personal or authentication information without authorization.
- Attempting to circumvent the security policies of the company or connected services.
10. Limitation of liability & governing law
- The company is not liable, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for damages caused by natural disasters, external infrastructure failures, force majeure, or causes attributable to the member.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are subject to the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
11. Notices & effect
- Material changes are notified via in-service announcements or email, and consent is renewed where necessary.
- Inquiries: official.yshorts@gmail.com / 010-7175-3805
